Several months ago, many of our members approached us about the need to move the insertion of femoral arterial lines from a requested procedure to a core privilege and to expand the orthopedic protocol to include injections for smaller joints. We contacted our regulatory board with a formal request. We are excited to announce that the Joint Committee has unanimously approved these protocols, which are now posted on the Alabama Board of Nursing website. NPAA would like to extend our gratitude to the Alabama Board of Nursing and the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners for listening to our requests and acting upon them. Together, we are steadily advancing our practice, and we are excited to continue pushing these efforts forward.
