The NPAA PAC continues to actively work to improve health care for all Alabamians and to move NP practice forward in Alabama. The important role of a political action committee (PAC) in an organization is often underestimated, but this critical component of our political affairs activities cannot be overlooked. We need your support!
Why donate? The NPAA PAC contributions help elect and keep in office those state legislators and public officials that support removal of barriers to NP practice and promote improving patient access to quality health care and nurse practitioners as health care providers.
Money matters: Your donations also enable more direct contact with Alabama legislators by making it possible for us to participate and join other health care groups in sponsoring activities directed toward targeted campaigns. Activities for which PAC money can be used include donations to political candidates, participating in political fundraising and targeting votes through advertising.
Who is supported? Decisions to support or oppose a candidate for election are not based on political party affiliation, but rather on support for the NPAA legislative agenda, likelihood of electoral success and the recommendations of the committee. The PAC is registered with the Alabama Board of Ethics and must follow the rules of that commission when accepting and distributing donations.
Ways to donate:
Recurring donations: NPAA-PAC depends on consistent support of NP members to make our voices heard in Montgomery. These resources help NPs stay at the table. A monthly donation is the most efficient and hassle-free way to support the advancement of NPs. Any amount is appreciated.
One-time donation: Your one-time contribution will help us continue to support candidates that support you and the patients you serve. We’re counting on you to step up for the profession.
