We are thrilled to announce the 19th Annual Conference on October 9-10, 2025, at the Renaissance Hotel in Montgomery. This year’s theme is "Technology and Practice: The New Frontier in Nurse Practitioner Practice." As healthcare continues to evolve, technology plays an increasingly vital role in transforming the way Nurse Practitioners (NPs) practice. Join us as we delve into the opportunities, challenges, and innovative solutions technology offers to enhance patient outcomes, improve care delivery, and empower NPs in their clinical decision-making. Together, we will examine how NPs can leverage technology to navigate this new frontier, enhance their role in patient care, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of healthcare.

We are also excited to introduce a new format for this year’s conference! The event will take place on Thursday and Friday, and we will offer hands-on workshops alongside the 2025 Opioid Guidelines Update.

Jennifer Lollar is the Executive Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications for the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. She has been with UAB since 2001, starting in UAB Public Relations & Marketing as a media relations specialist, first for the University side of campus and then from 2005 to 2013 for the health schools and medical center. She moved to the School of Nursing in 2013 and now leads an eight-member marketing and communications team that is responsible for all communications and marketing functions, with the exception of media relations, for the school. Prior to joining UAB she was a general assignment and business reporter for newspapers in the Birmingham area.


At some point you may interact with the media for interviews on policy or other topics. “Media, Your 30 Second Introduction” is a crash course consisting of guidance, tips and preparation to familiarize you with the basics on effectively delivering your message in print, television, radio and other interviews.
